Unicode text styles

Type once. The same words appear below in bold, italic, script, fraktur, and other Unicode styles. Copy the line you want. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use text styles

Type in the box and the styles update immediately. Click Copy next to a style to copy that version. Letters and digits change when the style has those characters. Spaces, punctuation, and anything else stay as you typed them.

A few alphabets skip code points and use an older character instead, such as script B and fraktur C. Those letters are still included, so the word does not drop a letter.

Frequently asked questions

How do I copy a Unicode text style?

Type in the box. Each style updates as you type. Click Copy on the line you want. The text stays in your browser.

Why do some letters stay plain?

Each style only changes letters and digits it has a Unicode character for. Other characters, and letters that style does not include, are left as you typed them.

Will a screen reader read this styled text?

Screen readers may not read styled text well. These are different Unicode characters, not bold or italic formatting, so a screen reader can skip them, spell them, or announce them as symbols. Keep a plain copy when someone needs to hear the text.

Is Text Styles free?

Yes. Text Styles is free and runs in your browser.
